The reason the Walmart ones die is the vibration. The compressor motors were designed for a stationary setting.

I have a Traker 12 volt. It was my cousins before he became a tanker yanker, don't know how long he used it before he gave it to me over a year ago. I have only had to replace the power cord with a CB cord and different fuse.

I have had the same 49 dollar walmart microwave for 3 years with no issues. Anti run off the same inverter but fridges just don't last.

I've had a Lowe's fridge that I've had for 2 years, guess I am lucky because they do say the vibration is not good for them.

I've just been using the same Coleman 12v cooler for 6 years now. Same thing as a fridge and honestly has more room.

    To each their own tho

I use the same now. The point of the fridge was to have a freezer for me. But I've learned to make good food choices and the coleman world fine.

$100 Koolatron bought new in 1995. Still runs today. All original parts. Just clean dust out every few moths. Draws 3 amps. Made in Canada.

The reason you see Coleman repair parts and not Koolatron is because Koolatron doesn't need them!

Need to add ice during hot summer due to high ambient temps but it'll freeze stuff in the winter.

My rubbermaid is sitting in the kitchen churning along drawing 4.8 amps.

It's holding temp at 36 degrees in the dining room on the floor 6" from the wall next to the patio windows
