Refrigerated to and from Canada

I was wondering if anyone had advice on delivering into and out of Canada and what would be the best practices? I know you need a passport and fast pass. I’m a company driver and want to get a truck to deliver to and from Canada, any help on first steps. I don’t want to get a truck and don’t have work. Do I go to company’s and try and get contracts first?
