I don't mind lifting it up everytime some might and there the lazy ones. It comes with one year warranty, when the warranty is about to end go the sear and get the two year warranty for 29.99.

I see more and more companies putting them in, it will soon be a competition. Hopefully the mega companies will follow suit, but who knows. The company I am with now, as well as my last one have fridges, APU's and 1500 watt inverters. I have a microwave, tv, xbox, and laptop. All the comforts of home, makes life way easier out here (out for 1-3 months at a time). Those 12v cooloers do not last and really don't keep food at a steady safe temp. Be very careful with dairy and meats.

Check with the company. Some do not allow microwaves and or fridges even if they have big inverters. They state that the amp draw burns out the inverter and or alternator if you have an APU, when reality is more amp draw requires more fuel from extra load. I had a mini-fridge, hot plate, coffee maker, microwave, tv, dvd/blue ray player, surround sound, laptop and all in one printer in my last truck and all were household 115v alliances. 1500 watt on board inverter connected to the APU, 1000 watt cobra added in to the APU circuit, and 800 watt cobra plug in. APU ran all the time (more fuel to the point point of the same as idling, but not idling), but everything else ran as well. I used the on board inverter for the fridge/ microwave (900 watt), 1000 watt for the hot plate/ coffee maker, and the 800 for the computer/printertv/dvd/surround sound. All I did was unplug the fridge to use the microwave. Shop didn't care cause APU fuel consumption is not the same as idling fuel consumption, lol.

Good call here. As a former electrician I tend to overlook making those types of safety issues as I do them out of habit, but yes..... Have someone do it for you if you don't know what you're doing.Zoo Man and DoneYourWay Thank this. -
and use bigger wires and fuess then you need, my 1500 is using heavy gauge (about 2x thicker than what the truckstops sell for a 1500) with twin side by side 50a fuess, if one blows it still get enough to run the fridge, had it happen one time in 9 years
also if your running the mirco have the truck running, a 900w mirco will suck the life out of the batt's FAST it'll take it from 13v to OMG 12v in about 2 min if you have new good batt'sDoneYourWay and Zoo Man Thank this. -
what exactly is an inverter.
-
can I purchase an inverter
-
An inverter converts DC into AC. All of the truck stops sell them.
