refusal

    I was thinking the same thing myself . There was quite bit of irresponsibility . When you're called for a test you go immediately to be tested and if you don't know the procedure you don't just say "Oh well " and go home . I do believe his suspicions he was set up are correct though .
    As far as a legal case , he has none . The rules are clear .

    that depends on what state rules are...like NV..a right to work state, so even if it is a union shop you don't have to be part of the union, but the union does still represent you in situations like this. However, there is no law that says you are guaranteed, or that you have a right to your job...yes they can fire you "at will", most every trucking company that doesn't have union breathing down their necks spells this out in the orientation...these days, I see plenty of idiots driving who make me wonder how they got the job, and if the company saw the way they act on the highway, for sure they wouldn't be in that truck for long!

    I haven't seen anything "off track" in this thread yet...until you challenged our local Miss Lavender...watch it she ain't afraid of no trucker on this soap box derby...everybody has been responding to issues from the OP's statement.
