"the driver does not own the trucks, or even have any rights to the truck, it is owned by the leasing company, the entire time, you lease" same thing when you buy a truck and its financed the finance company YOU DO NOT FULLY own it until you pay the last $0.01 owed

Wrong, legally, you own the truck when you finance it, the finance company has a lien on it. They have no say in what you can do to the truck. The title is in your name.

When you lease, the title is NOT in your name.

You would be surprised what some FINANCE COMPANIES can and cannot do with your supposedly owned truck until its paid in full , some O/O's find out they cannot work for certain carries as long as the finance company holds the note.

And your very wrong in your info as you do not OWN it until its paid for

The chunks on the tires look like they're from low air pressure and flying down the highway at neck breaking 55mph. Although I would air them up and run them until they look like racing slicks.

Ultimately your responsible for your trucks roadworthiness if for example you chose to drive your truck and some highway "incident " occurred who do you think the police are going to charge? Better to safe than sorry.

Depends on the finance company. Yes I own the truck, even though the finance company has a LIEN on the truck. I will not accept any other arrangement. Means that if I fail to make payments on time, they can reposes the truck, and sell the truck, but they have NO CONTROL over the truck.

Otherwise it is a lease agreement, with their name on the title.

Plug the #### things and get rolling. From what was told there was only one tire they said could not be fixed. The missing chunks are from the tread and not the structure of the tire. I have one tire with 200k on the plug I had to put in it. Was out in the middle of nowhere and had to keep going. Plugs were used for decades before someone said you couldn't.

What gets me the most is that the OP thinks it's his truck. This is EXACTLY why you don't do those lease purchase scams.
And of course the feds will never put a stop to this crap because the MEGAs like Prime Inc have them bought off with all the lobbyist money.
