I used to work for willow run foods delivering to all 5 boroughs (Wendy's 5 guys, Popeyes) with a 48 and 230in wb cascadia and never had a place I couldn't get into even if it was steer tires on one curb and trailer tandem on the other sidewalk. I learned to drive there basically with out a trainer, or what you'd call a 6 month wonder boy training you. Just keep your head on a swivel and enjoy the circus

Forgot about them hard rolls. Its those little hole in wall deli's that have the best food and usually low prices like 3$ for a bacon egg n cheese bagel or on a hard roll with coffee n oj

    Shots fired!

    Chicago makes very nice pie.

If it was filled with apples I'd eat it with a scoop of ice cream.

    But we're talking pizza here.

Out of curiosity has anyone ever made a map for truckers of the best places to get pizza and or bagels in NYC?

It would be convenient. You know....plan some stops on the way in or the way out to fill up a mini fridge or whatever.

While I agree,.. the best thing about NYC is the food. The Pizza is good,. I like thin crust. I have had better pizza from a food truck in NYC than any where in the entire state of Fla. Chicago pizza is good,.. but you have to know where in Chicago to get that good pizza. Most of the large chains in Chicago have crappy pizza.

And here is the kicker of it all. The best pizza I have EVER had,.. was not in NYC,.. or Chicago. But it was in Tacoma, Washington. Yes,.. in the great NW. I forgot the name of the place,. but it was a small tavern like place on the corner. Home made crust, home made sauce, hand shredded cheese, fresh sliced tomatoes, thick hand sliced pepperoni and sausage. And get this,.. large 16" pizza was only $9. I ate the whole thing and washed it down with some root beer. Stuffed myself.

Any chance you will be able to remember the name of that place?
