Aahh, the big apple....I think every driver should be required to go there at least once. Its not bad, and the things you'll see make the $100 tolls seem like an admission fee to the circus. I really enjoyed myself up there, but I'd rather stay back here in the sticks of PA.

Put your big boy pants on and go. Make sure you get hazardous duty pay beforehand so they can't welch on it later.

Think of the stories you'll be able to tell your grandkids!

Scariest time for me was getting off route and starting to see signs for Harlem. Me thinks I need to get turned around ASAP!

Otherwise it's hours of sitting in traffic, potholes, maneuvering around double parked cars, potholes, garbage in the streets, potholes, double checking that every bridge marked 12'6" is actually a lie, pay ing cash/bribe to get your trailer unloaded, crack lizards looking for work, panhandlers hanging on your mirrors, aggressive, angry drivers, thousands of crazy immigrants driving local diesel-smoke-spewing box trucks, and lots more fun!

The scenery is great near the water. Sometimes the people you meet who run the businesses you go to are decent folks to talk to. Sometimes they are they biggest bungholes in the universe.

Do NYC a few times the rest of your career is a piece of cake.

I won't turn down good money to go there.

it real simple. That company employee's you. They have a load to go NYC. You are one of the companies drivers. YOU are supposed to be a TRUCK DRIVER. They pay you to take the load. You take the Load. If you don't want to go QUIT go somewhere else. OMG what is wrong with you people. I don't wanna go here I don't wanna go there. YOU ARE THE DRIVER you go where the LOAD goes...pansies
