So why are we totally roasting this driver? He got pulled over for a random inspection, received an unprovable 1-4 over. Safety guy decides to exercise his “I’m God around here” attitude, and the driver quits. Happens every day in this industry, some driver quits because of some company douche bag.
Good for you driver, screw that company.

The point is if he was a good driver he would have been driving safely and not got a warning or inspection.....so shouldn't we encourage drivers to be safe, instead of blaming safety for being too "mean" ....like seriously???
-
well you will not rest till you send the OP to the electric chair
@OP what do you want for your last meal? -
When you are driving a commercial vehicle, they do not need a reason to stop you for an inspection. They can stop any commercial vehicle at any time just to do an inspection.

Are you serious? A good driver driving safely? 1-4 over and yes I know it was a construction zone. What else I know is if I drive the speed limit in a construction zone I get passed by every truck on that road. Most drivers do at least 1-4 over in that situation. I’m not saying he is right. All I’m saying is this is another thread where the majority gets a holier then thou attitude when they are out there on the road doing the same #### thing.Chieftains, chevyryder86, jcrack08 and 1 other person Thank this.

I think a lot of it comes from 2 things. First, getting a ticket, inspection or violation is part of this job. Many drivers do a great job of avoiding it, but it can happen. If he had accepted that, then there might not be this piling on. Second, he said that @ZVar was guessing. He does not guess at regulations. He, like I, read the regs before commenting.Trucker61016 and sevenmph Thank this.

I agree with your point about Zvar.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
As usual the exemplary drivers on TTR will come down hard on anyone that doesn't meet their angel like driving qualities. But where do they really exist because I never met one that was on the actual road?Every single TT mega or not would be passing you even at 1 above the posted speed limit in a construction zone.
OP, quit looking for validation here. I would have quit too if they tried to dumb me down to 64. Move on and get a realistic employer that looks at the bigger picture.Chieftains, chevyryder86, Bean Jr. and 1 other person Thank this. -
I get what you're saying. I seldom chastise an OP for doing something wrong. The thing is like this, when an op has done something wrong, it's already known by those who matter, but when a poster admits to it, it may not be known to their carrier. So anybody with any common sense will always sound like they obey the law completely. Most of us know what happened to bottleboat. He had a mechanical problem and his carrier put him a hotel while the truck was in the shop. He went to the bar, and that would have been it, except he posted it here. His carrier found out about it, and he was invited to continue his driving career elsewhere. Now I don't think doing a bender at a hotel while your carrier is paying for it is a good idea, but I think posting that you did it is extremely stupid. I would never discuss my speeding habits in a public forum, if I were to ignore the speed limits. I guess that would make me sound like the perfect driver. Then, when my perfection is just a matter of me omitting my transgressions, I would be extremely hypocritical to unload on a guy who got caught speeding 1-4 mph.gentleroger Thanks this.
