I believe there is some middle ground in all of this. Yes, we all have sped, whether its a few miles over the limit or whatever. We dont always get caught, and when we do its the 1 time out of 1000 that we did speed. Whether its 1 or 10 over its speeding made worse by the fact that its in a construction zone thats well known for having alot of accidents due to speeding. I would be more appalled if everyone came on here and said "well good for him" for quitting in response to the safety departments response. Until someones name is on the side of the truck and have to make executive decisions based on the decisions of some drivers, then its hard to judge to the safety departments response.
However, since I do have my own name on the side of my doors ill say, good for the safety department!Bean Jr. and Trucker61016 Thank this. -
From the OP...
First, thanks so much to all those posting here and NOT being "holier than thou" AH's. Nobody here knows me well enough to JUDGE what kind of driver I am or my motivation for resigning... I came here for information, not insulting moronic opinions for which you have no basis. Sooo... in that regard, I am posting something I found online in my former employer's SMS record for the inspection I received. Based on information contained the attachment, you will notice that there was ZERO affect to their safety record, so it appears that the trooper issuing the citation was telling the TRUTH. The incident has yet to appear on any DAC or PSP- if it ever does, I'll send this document and request removal. I wish you all safe travels, great health and prosperity!Attached Files:
