Do any of you guys think that ny DPFs might be clogged?
-
could be. have you ever cleaned it ?
-
No but i got it checked from the computer and it came as normal. Do u think this might be something serious?
-
usually at 280-300k fault light pops on saying its time for dpf cleaning. I am not a Cummins specialist. Somebody will help you soon . Just wait.Mandeepsingh Thanks this.

With the mileage on the truck, it may be a good idea to have the DPF taken out and cleaned. Then have the ash timer reset.
Will it go into a parked regen? If so, that may help for a short time. It could take about an hour. So best to do it when you can sit for it to run the regen. -
Well all my regens happen when i m driving. Is that better? You think this colud be the reason?
-
Look into a Dieselforce cleaning, it will clean the entire engine and DPF system.
JoeyJunk Thanks this. -
Not sure. The system doing a lot of passive regens will use fuel, that could lead to poor MPG.
Doing a forced or parked regen can some times do a better job of cleaning the system. Make sure the engine is fully up to operating temps before trying it.
Still would check into pulling the DPF for a cleaning.
Is the engine using any oil? Do you need to add any between changes? How often are you changing engine oil and filters? -
