I just finished my 3rd week out regional. I went to orientation in Franklin from Sunday night to Thursday afternoon and was in my truck running a load down to Kearny by early Thursday evening. Ran out my 70 in 6 days and drove 2750 miles the first week. 2nd week similar miles iirc. This last week it dipped a little...2500'ish I think which is still a bit better than average. Had a couple delays...drop and hook that wasn't loaded when I got there so had to wait around 4 hours for a live load...some traffic nonsense that set me back. (It's trucking whaddya gonna do?) 2013 cascadia with 103k on it when I got it.

They have a terminal in Blackwood off 42/AC expressway. I met another regional driver who says he only works M-F.

They're going downhill fast is my honest takeaway. Nobody I talked to had much good to say about them...customers, other drivers, the shop guys, hell even the guy I rode with for two days during orientation couldn't hide his obvious misgivings about the company. In hindsight I should have paid more attention to that but it all seemed to crystallize at once what kind of outfit I'd gotten myself tangled with. They supposedly require 18 months experience but I have it on good account that they bring in guys with way less than that who can barely drive. They can't keep anybody around is the obvious conclusion. The BS goes nuclear and people say to hell with it.

Does anyone know what the medical benefits are like at Regency Transpotation? Also how much money would be deducted for a family plan? Any info about the benefits would be great.

You know, I've been hearing that quite a bit lately. I did get hired by regency about 8 months ago but ended up turning it down. I'm local now and been here with the same company 13 years now. I'm looking to get a regional position because the P&D work is killing me lately. I guess I have been doing this kind of work for almost 20 years now. Anyways, I'm looking for a good company to go with.

I was thinking TMC. I just don't know if I can make any money with them. I know a couple of drivers I talked to says there doing good if you don't mind going into the big city a couple times a week. That where you make money I guess. They said the recruiters down play it too, so it's hard to get a read on that company. I guess I'll just go with one of them And see what happens. Thanx for your help.
