That does sound ok but I need to get more than 800-1000 per week. Maybe I should look into starting my own business, and get my own truck. I know a lot of drivers say don't do that but how would I know if I don't try. I've been successful as a company driver so why not try in my own. What do you think about that? Am I crazy for thinking that or what?

I think companies are all the same they don't care if you Brock down the road , if your family is waiting for you dispatchers are the worst pushing , punishing

I would caution you on Recency,I've been here 5yrs. They used to be hourly but now are mileage and I'm always fighting to get paid what I'm suppose to. The company doesn't recognize seniority and only goes by favoritism. I could write a book on the crap here.

Run from Regency Transport,Constant problems getting paid properly, getting home, always breaking down, lack of real safety. The place is going OO so watch out. They'll say they still need DRIVERS but just look at their fb which is mostly OO.
