    Hey all,

I recently applied online to May and have had contact with a couple of people out of the Denver office. I'm just curious what is the better fleet to go with? I much prefer to run in the West but I like to go all over so just as long as I'd be getting West regularly I think I'd be happy with the National fleet. I thought I'd read somewhere that there was a difference in pay, can anybody confirm that?

    Cheers!

Not sure of the pay scale however by me running 48 state alot times it would be difficult to get loads going back west espcially depending on if I was deep in the northeast. I do know that if you're running 11 state regional which is basically up and down I5 corridor you should be home as much as you like. Since your heart is with both then maybe try the more local of the 2 and then when you get bored see the country when the weather breaks, just my opinion......

Hello Black Adder, How are you doing?
The pay is the same across the 11 western and the 48 state division. The Major difference between the two divisions is, The transit days.

    11 western

Shorter trips = More trips in a week which creates my liability or opportunity for set backs. A lot of I5 corridor and i84 i 80.

48 Division = West to east coast loads = longer length of hauls more transit days meaning you will not be picking up and delivering in the same day.

In the end, Miles tend to be the same in both divisions (pending your performance) the difference is 48 is a lot more laid back and stress free.

Personally for me - I would prefer to load up on the west coast get that out of the way. Knowing that I got several days to the east coast of just cruising. And I can guarantee how many miles I will have for that week. ?
