I loved the road but I realized regional wasn’t for me. I felt like I got into a cycle of spending all my hometime getting prepared to go back out. If I was home for 48 hours I spent 16 of em sleeping another 4 grocery shopping and prepping food, more time doing laundry and running the little errands I had... in the 2 days a week I was home I wasn’t really home... then to get back to my truck on Monday morning already ready to get back home. I probably wouldn’t mind otr but I got a nice local gig, and I gets all the hometime one could ask for. (You know the road is in your blood when you call off days hometime haha)
Regional or OTR

Trucking reminds me of TV show, "deadliest Catch" . When the crew was on shore waiting to go out, they couldn't wait to get out there and catch crab, right ? Then, when they were out there crabbing, they couldn't wait to fill their tanks and get home ! Trucking's the same, can't wait to get going and can't wait to get home.
