What exactly is a weekend to a regional trucker? Will it be something like get home Friday night leave Monday morning, a 24 hr thing, or a 36 hr "weekend"?

I work for a company that runs more of a "regional" operation and I usually am home 48 hours on the weekends. For example I left last Sunday # 6pm, ran 2800 miles for the week and was home by Friday at 9am. I will be leaving out Sunday at about 4pm.

Be aware that some companies will only give you 34 hrs for a reset and that is considered your weekend. For example, get home Saturday morning and leave out Sunday afternoon/evening. It really all depends on who you work for and the way the freight runs.

typically a "trucker's weekend" is any two consecutive days off...it could be a monday/tuesday, wednesday/thursday, and yes it could also be a saturday/sunday....
