The company I use in Maine, 2 times and a friend used them, great service.
Even though Oklahoma issues you a permanent tag you have to pay $7 per year to keep it in the system, several big carriers weren’t paying and the got caught and had to pay up.

When did that happen? I’ve licensed every trailer in Oklahoma. Rarely go to Oklahoma. Haven’t bought a new trailer since 2012. Never paid a $7 annual fee either.

They added a 1% sales tax to cars several years ago, trucks are still exempt from state excise tax but not new sales tax, my new trailer was over 100k so I saved a lot.
If you get checked in Oklahoma and they see the Oklahoma tag they will want to see the form where you paid up.
I’ll switch to a Oklahoma tag soon and won’t have to pay the tax because it’s already in my name.

Any reason to switch to Oklahoma from your Maine tag other than personal preference?

I prefer a OK title and tag.

Hello, I’m following this thread and there’s some good info here. I had a question, I bought a trailer in Alabama and I had to get a new title. I’m in New York so I got the title here. I want to rent it out, how do I go about getting plates for it? Do I have to get the plates or will that be on the driver?
