New cars brokers do not accept 3500 and goose neck set up

Only 5500 and low profile wedge.

United road out of chicago heights does. They just require over the wheel straps and 5th wheel. Not saying you're wrong. This is just one location. Drive safe.

Where in New England could you be getting a 400 mile new car haul? The last assembly plant closed in 94. Rail work doesn't usually go that far on a steady basis, as in the occasional mis routed railcar they choose to truck. Davisville RI maybe? Got your TWIC card?

    Yes

    I have TWIC.

Not 400 mile but 150-200 Yes. I have delivered new cars without single scratch for 8 months and they are happy to give loads under my authority and insurance

    150-200 out of Ayer railhead?

I have not seen the rates, however off the top of my hed you may be better off bouncing as many locals as you can each day. Or a local or 2 and something less than 150 out. 1 200 mi trip a day of 4 units aint gonna cut it.

    Terry270 Thanks this.

Drivers hate but I loved when I was hauling Long Island. It is gold mine if you know how to do and you live close and do not mind working at night. Based on my personal character I prefer to go to bed at 5 AM than get up at 5 AM. I am so happy getting up at 11AM when kids are already taken care of and I have nothing to do but make fun of guys stuck in Long Island traffic :))))

As an O/O, the bridge tolls to LI will eat you alive. And if you are making night delivery the claims will too

that is the risk for sure, but no risk, no reward. Tolls I know, but it makes sense when you are taking used car load back, that was the reason why I filed my authority and did not just leased to company. It is tough, it is not just easy gold mine, but loads are definitely there. Just need to figure out cheaper way, less stressful way and most importantly working at night. No night work, no money
