That really stinks but I know you can find something. I have a friend that was disabled for 11 years and got a job with a smaller company. Good luck!

I'm going to say its related to something about the law suit that took place. While I would have sued as well for an accident that caused me serious injuries, most companies are a bit gun shy about hiring people with law suits in their history.

    Just a guess :biggrin_25511:

I have called the EEOC and they want paper work on all the companies that deny my app. They said I should have a good case.I just don't really want to go that route because it's just a long process. All I really want is a chance to prove myself again!

I did not sue the man that hit me.There was never any law suit.He was 85 had alzheimer's and wasn't supposed to be driving.I really felt sorry for the man and didn't feel that would be the right thing to do.

The only thing that is happening is that you need to personally call and talk to a recruiter. Companies see you as a liability even if you're not. That isn't fair, but life isn't. Get your paperwork about your clear status and fax it in with your app. A bottom-feeder like Werner will give you a shot.

It might also be since it was a hip injury that they are gun shy about your being able to preform the duties, although you should have just said you were injuried and not give details. Since Hepa (sp) covers that.

I dropped a chain saw on my leg and I had to carry around a full release from the doctor showing it was no issue. That did not stop me from getting hired.

It is not so much as the age for your work history, but any gaps in your work history. If you are 21, then you should have school and work in there, but if you are old enough to have a 10 year work history and there are major gaps, then those are red flags.

Have you though about going with as a team? As mentioned before, look around. If a carrier is in or close to your location stop by and talk to them in person.
