Rejected product. Where to dispose?

    Garbage haulers get pissed when someone throws wood in the dumpster. It can get jammed in the compactor and a pain to clean out. Let the owners catch you and you get an earful.

    I knew a hog farmer that was about 30 miles west of Boston and he got a lot of rejected food

    Sometimes if a driver is heading home after unloading, and have damaged product. Some drivers just take it home with them if they get the ok to get rid of it

    I wouldn't try writing off items I couldn't show receipts for purchasing .

    Thats the worst that can happen. Id rather deal with that than a few boxes of cabbage.

    A bar-b-que is a good stop to get rid of cabbage too. Let em make coleslaw.

    Cabbage dang 4 cases you should have taken them home you could have had cabbage rolls for the whole year.

    And oddly, there's usually one right around the corner from most major grocery warehouses. Or a homeless or other charitable shelter. Not sure if it's supply/demand or just a match for the same neighborhood?

    The real problem is that rejected product when you're close enough to home to keep it is usually crap you really don't like.
