Why waste your time and energy about race, gender or whatever that makes up the world, it really does not matter and the elite sure like to see everyone divided as they work you to death.
Reliability and low cost...

On the other hand I have driven computer controlled trucks and have had many issues with them, resulting in weeks of downtime over the past six years. The scariest moment was westbound on I-40 approaching downtown OKC, the truck simply shut off.
Ever been at freeway speed driving a truck that instantly has no power steering, no electronics at all, not even turn signals? Fortunately I had enough momentum to coast to a safe pull off at an exit.
What shut off the truck? A faulty oil pressure sensor. -

And by the way he brought the supposed best truck combination you can buy. He did not buy a crappy International or a crappy Cummins as you say.
He bought the Big Pete with the sweet yellow Caterpillar engine. And every dealer every mechanic and everyone on this forum that knows everything about Electronics, no one has been able to help him.
He did nothing wrong, his truck is still new. It's still under warranty. And if you read his story all those many pages of that Saga, he has been in contact with other people that have had similar problems as him. When you look around and you talk to other people you find this is much more widespread than you or anyone else might think.
The reality is you are lucky, and I'm glad for you that you are lucky, but the fact is the difference between you and him is only a roll of the dice.
When I drive trucks for Penske I would spend time talking to the mechanics. They told me they have problems that you can't even begin to imagine what nightmares go on.
They also told me that is pretty often that they send trucks back to the manufacturer and they make certain that those trucks are unloaded before the warranty is gone because they themselves cannot fix them.
And even aside from this one gentleman it's pretty common if you read the mechanics forum that guys have a problem the truck won't run right there getting bad fuel mileage and they spent $5,000 here $8,000 there and it's all Electronics and trying to have someone diagnose what the crazy problem is. And no one can diagnose it so they end up replacing other things that didn't need to be replaced adding to their downtime and cost. And the cycle continues as they go to someone else to try to diagnose it.
I truly am happy for you that you've had no problems, I don't wish that on anyone. But make no mistake. When an electronic engine has a problem it can be a nightmare worse than the ex-wife. And probably even more costly. It's all right there in the forum.
And those problems simply are not possible with the mechanical engine.Lepton1 Thanks this.
