If you really want to do it right find somebody to work for. Learn everything you can there first. You won't be starting at the top.
The stuff you are describing doing is well beyond you at this point.
You're putting the cart before the horse here.
You don't even know what you're aiming for to haul. There is no single truck to do all the jobs you described.
Go get more experience hauling for somebody else in their equipment.
If you had the experience to do this stuff as an O/O you wouldn't have to be asking the most basic questions.

Thank you & will definitely take all that into serious consideration.

Hahaha no, it's a real deal & can see how it would be fun to ride along even if it was all dreams. Truth of the matter is, as I've learnt so far, I'll most likely wait another 1-3 more yrs before becoming an OO but would still like expert suggestion for a good HH setup as a future OO.Airborne Thanks this.

Here we go again....
Do you have any idea what equipment is required to
Gross 400k or the cost?
Might be cheaper to ask what spec on a 737 as you want to start an airline....
No you can't do it - no you don't have the skills or experience or funding. Maybe you have too many videos from the guy on Utube.
How about you start with a regular spec truck and pull a flat or step while learning what it takes to own a truck. Meanwhile, you can gain some small oversize/overweight skills and then you will know what you need to learn to start apecing equipment.
You will also realize has silly making the statement about 400k gross. -

I do have some idea for equipment & cost.
I do have some skills & experience. As for funding...i do have some savings for down payment on a future truck but still need to save more. Just probably not enough. Haha no, I've never watched a video in YouTube about trucking.
I may start out that way. Thanks for the suggestion. -
I had heard ATS is one of them

My opinion is that up to about 200k or so, HH falls under the trucking umbrella. When you start getting above 200k, it falls under more of a heavy rigging/heavy lifting type of work.
Not to diminish people who do heavy haul, but even with say a 13 axle setup, your main job is a guy with a truck ( with probably a couple of escorts) getting the load from A to B. When you start talking about the 400k range, it's more of a production than it is a simple hauling job.
You need a team to pull off a 400k load, and no I'm not talking about a team as in husband and wife driving across the country where one sleeps while the other drives.
Nothing wrong with having big dreams, and you may get there one day, but you are a long way from it. If you are really interested in doing this, you need to hire on with somebody like Perkins or one of the other big players. I know for a fact that most of them are really hurting for help right now and will pretty much hire anybody with a clean record and willing to work.
