AllowMe, you are making me feel more and more comfortable about my move. Thank you so much. I appreciate it
Its a big step move for sure. Im really excited to move and want to do it now! But Im commited to stay till our construction season is over. April I start back to work pulling double side dump hauling material to build a new railroad bridge just outside of town.
Local work and good pay is hard to pass up. I need to make the money to set up my house payments before I move & have enough to fly down and innterview/drivetest.
Thanks again![]()

Many post about getting CDL and going to schools to get them, then where to go from there..........
Ive been driving trucks straight/single trailer/pups/doubles/vac/tank etc but had only drove OTR team for short time 14 yrs ago.
I prefer not to go to a company without some training in all the regulations, dispatching, qualcomm, etc.
coming from a construction side of trucking, we dont worry about all that stuff.
90% we dont even use log books!
What companies take CDL holders with driving exp and train them in all the OTR needed to become a solo driver? western regional or south west
If you know a good thread for me to read, please let me know. -
I would call the companies first and ask if you have to take a refresher course. All of them have 800 numbers. BTW Squirel you have mail.
Squirel Thanks this. -
