I currently live in Florida but wants to relocate to Dallas TX. How hard it is to get a load in the state of Texas, if I just want to run within the state.

My experience, the rates are just as miserable..Opus, exhausted379, JoeyJunk and 3 others Thank this. -
I run out of San Antonio and been doing this a long time. Usually I do CA and back but have stayed within Texas sometimes. You can EASILY have enough freight staying in Texas. Rates always fluctuate of course but typically Laredo to Dallas is $1200-1800, Laredo to Houston $900-1000, Houston to San Antonio $600-800, worst is Dallas to Houston is like $600. This is dry van off load boards.
Everyone I know that does Texas only grosses about $5k-$5.5k. It’s not great, but if you want to be home and you’d have a low fuel bill it might interest you. Hopefully you can find some dedicated customers to boost your gross.Ikamob01, JoeyJunk and God prefers Diesels Thank this. -
