I would definitely go for the warranty, but with an inframe I would still have an ugly motor. My cat dealer wants around $35,000 for a platinum overhaul. Have gotten a much better price from out of state, but if something goes wrong I'm at the back of the line indefinitely.

Your CAT dealer is cleaning your clock. If you have it done at another CAT dealer, your dealer STILL has to honor the warranty it's a matter of making that happen, which shouldn't be an issue.
