I wouldn't worry about getting it removed he doesn't have to be worried about getting stuck pulling doubles he just needs to go on about and drive the truck and pull his loads he has the option of saying I don't want to pull that because I'm not comfortable We are the captain's of our ship's and besides by pulling doubles and triples your putting 1 to 2 driver's out of work I say no way we all need our job's and our paycheck's!!!

I have had hazmat endorsements off and on since the early 90s when the CDL law came into effect. I have never had hazmat to transfer like that. Even after I moved to Virginia I had to give up my X endorsement or go through all the process again. I had just renewed my Georgia CDL about a year before.
-
In Indiana the hazmat expires when the license does.
Plus it seems, Virginia doesn't put your weight on the license either, must be a lot of fat women running things there -
I dont know what the rules are now, but when i had it, mn haz was only good for 2 years

But in all seriousness, I’m facing a similar problem with the tankers endorsement. I’m a dump truck driver for a paving company, and occasionally I have to drive a water truck, which I despise doing. (The water truck is used for putting out water on fresh pavement so trucks don’t leave tire marks from the tac put down right before paving; also used for dust suppression, and transporting water to fill up certain equipment). Also, they take the oldest dump trucks in the fleet, remove the dump beds, and mount the water tanks on them, so that means I get to drive a raggity truck with no a/c. AND I DON’T GET PAID EXTRA. It makes me wish I’d never gotten the endorsement to begin with.
And for those that argue for keeping the endorsement in case of getting another job, I could always retake the test, as it’s not difficult at all. -
well, I guess you have a couple of options.
A. Say no and go find a better job
B. Put the unit out of service for defects
Either way, you're playing silly games with silly people and that should tell you all you need to know.
Good luckWallyWallyWorld Thanks this.
