Aside from unhooking the lines and the bolts that attach it to the accessory drive, is there anything crucial about removing the pump? Is there a timing concern with removal?

No need to time. The rear bolt kind of sucks. If this is not mechanical or stc, you will have the pt switch wire too that can be a bit of a bear sometimes. New fuel pump should come with new pt switch. Be sure to inspect drive coupling.
mile marker 27 Thanks this. -
DUNE-T, bzinger, tommymonza and 3 others Thank this. -
It’s leaking around the pulsation dampener plate. It’s got 4, 3/16” Allen bolts and two of them are opposing the other two. So, it looks as if it’d be easier to remove the whole pump.

I was told to replace the drive coupling anytime I had the fuel pump removed. Cheap insurance.
Good luck.
jamespmack, mile marker 27 and Diesel Dave Thank this. -
haycarter Thanks this.

Does Cummins offer a gasket/O-ring kit, for the pump? If so what’s the part number? And also, my pump doesn’t have the fuel filter attached.

Whats your esn?

I’m not around the truck at the moment to get an ESN but this tag is on the pump.
