Removing sleeper extenders

    Let me say again that will not work, a rivet just swells the sleeve when pulled. They will be loose. They will leak. Silicone will crack. You are also aware you can’t paint over silicone I suppose.

    I wasn't planning on having silicone leaking out of my sleeper like I'm frosting a cake then painting over it. I guess I gave you the impression that I'm a special needs kid that can't do this. Thanks for your input though.

    Seam sealer applied to chrome body plugs. They’ll stay in place and not leak. Chrome body plugs are available well over an inch. Smaller plugs might take some searching. McMaster ‘n Carr
    Don’t use silicone anywhere on a automobile. It does not bond to metal or glass. Silicone based lubes excellent for yer dates:rolleyes:

    I used to install shower doors, and silicone absolutely does bond to both metal and glass.
