    Did you buy that alternator at the petro? That price sounds high.

    $450 for a brand new Delco 36-SI 170A alternator. Delivered price.
    (No one had anything in stock in Milwaukee, thanks to the DD quad mount setup AKA "4 ear" - I needed)

    Thats actually a really good price. KW wanted $659 for it.
    I had to get a new unit. Mine was cracked and had no usable core.
    I got it from a buddy at TruckPro in IL.

    Maybe I should look at Nitrogen for my tires. If they are more buoyant they might have less rolling resistance would could equate to better MPG

    for buoyancie maybe get helium--
    nitrogen prevents water in the tire--and possibley a cooler running tire

    those pad mount alternators are stupid expensive. Now way around it.

    I buy my starters and alternators from motorcityreman google it


    oh wait, that's not a pad mount. You have the part number for that? I'm curious to see what motor city gets for it

    these are the expensive ones with thepad mounts. I have one of these unfortunatly

    the one on on that motor looks like the one I put on my old pete that I bought for under $200 new
