Heres a point to ponder, the truck manufacturers put the whale fin on top of the trucks to be supposedly more areodynamic making for better fuel mileage, but if you think about it with the whale fin on top and your going down the road the wind or air hits that whale fin pushing on it and what do you think it does to your truck?? It pushes your truck down on the rear putting more weight on your drive tires and axles which then does what?? it pulls down your MPG. Im not a rocket scientest or a collage schollar but really think about it and see if you think the same way i do. I think a small fin spoiler on the back of the sleeper would better than the big whale fin.

If you were cool like me, You'd have the old school round style that were all LED's....
I shop at Iowa 80 but I just write down the part number and order it through a cheaper shop that I deal with....Iowa 80 is way too spendy!
Good choice!
They make step ladders ya know....
I have all LED's on mine and it does look good, But it cost about a grand!
They make step ladders ya know....
Even the union guy figured that one out by himself...
You have a Kenworth don't you?
I think I heard that somewhere.
The one we're speaking of here is an aftermarket one.
Any idea how fast you'd have to be going to add weight to the drives with a bird banger?
Nothing because you're not gonna be movin' fast enough to do that!
Thank you....DR. Science!

Ok..I am not even gonna try to quote that multiple quoted quote!
I found an Ebay auction that sells Grakon 5000 series lights (new unused) for like $10 each. Not sure what the catch is, if there is one. I spoke to them today..they have perfect (and high) feedback. These aren't LED but they are affordable. I would just have to think about how to mount them and more importantly - align them in respect to the cab lights - so they all match. I hate things that are crooked. -
Start in the middle and work your way out....Call me tomorrow and I'll give you the measurments!
But remember....Do the center one first! Make sure you get it in the center!

Gonna jump in with a suggestion..... What about setting the 6' ladder on frame behind sleeper; use the deck plate for footing, if that is not enough for all four of the ladders feet, maybe a stout board to help, like that loose board on your back steps, or pull the pins out of the hinges on that bathroom door, and lay it across the frame rails, you know.... get creative!
While on the subject of pulling the headliner, does anyone know the pattern to locate the attaching screws that are hidden behind the buttons on a VIT interior? I usually wind up pulling on the wrong ones, tearing them off. -
Laser, $35 at Lowes.
Line it up with the front ones and transfer it to the sleeper. -
Myself i find a better way, but i still go with the scafolding route, get some heavey blankets too hang down from scafolding , have one on each side of truck then lay the alum plank across the cowl and anthor behind the sleeper then anthor over the top of sleeper, all said en done youll need three alum planks, nice safe and secure,i repeat dont ever ever climb on any part of tractor or trl, why, not only can break off ants coming down or your windsheild,
but most people are big and they will contue downward at a spirialing rate and end up 6 feet into the ground head first, if not a bunch broken parts like a arm that might need tommorrow to shift or a leg too clucth with, kinda hard too do that with a cast, although i done it , not a cast sorta , but one those blue sleeves that carry the strap around your neck, i tore out my rotor cup, very painfull, and beside its gives a whole new meaning too long distance lovings from the heavens up above if you conk your head just right as the neck snaps
so just drive down the rental place , they may even have a pickup too rent too,but thats the way i would do it, after all your spending that much on lights , might as well toss in anthor 234 for scafolding and do it right and be alive too tell it about it, but on the plus side while you over book for a couple extra days or max days used ,the scafolding gets those leaky gutters fixed or any other projects done around the house, kinda loop it all together

If going the scaffold route you'll need more than one section.
Scaffold sections are in the 7' to 8' range, sleeper lights are going to more than that off the ground. -
cmon guys--he isnt going to scale mt everest
tire enginethen up to the roof and get it done
i really like the laser level idea ---that would take any guess work out of it
shoot the horizontal--then vertical---and get the drill going
just make sure you get some good stuff to seal everything up with---nothing worse than having running water in the truck
