I keep basin in truck. sometimes it is better the bucket.

Hanadarko! Look at color of your coolant! is it dirty, old? it it recomended to change coolant every 200 k as I remeber. I use to flush cooling system every time I have to change hoses ore thermostats.

Buy coolant pinch of plyers. A pair of them at least. Pinch off old hose. Pinch off new hose. If your fast pull of one fast slip new one on. Clamp it. Then change other end. If your good you will only loose a little bit. You learn this doing years of road service and not wanting to leave a mess or drain it on the side of road. And best to do it cold. Can be done hot if its a emergency, I have but its not recommended

Take the radiator cap off, have someone hold a shopvac near the neck and work all you want. Never spill a drop.
