Hi, I have a 2011 utility with tk sb210. Is replacing the refer unit for a newer tk a good idea? Or should I get a newer trailer too? Thanks

If your box is solid. A brand new unit is about 24k with warranty.

I think there are places that can Thermo scan your trailer to see how well insulated it is or not.
TK’s have gotten pretty expensive. Over 30k depending on what package you get add a few thousand.
It’s all up to you really and what your budget is.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
where? After my dealer got done laughing at me he told me I could get it Christmas next year if I paid the 28k and change that day.
I’m going to end up swinging my unit onto a new box until I can get one, my trailer is a 2010 and the floor is Just shot at this point,D.Tibbitt and Midwest Trucker Thank this. -
Why not keep the 210,best reefer ever made.bzinger Thanks this.

And what is the difference between the 200/210/230 since no one’s ever able to give me an exact answer?reeferwrencher Thanks this.

200 has the the up4 old style controller, ok units but the 210/230 are far better with sr2/3 controllers and electronic throttling valve. The only real difference between 210 /230 is 230 has a smaller condenser.Even with the head gasket issues with yanmar engines they are still the best unit.
