I have a question on a speeding ticket. I got a speeding ticket in my car going 87 in a 65. I was able to get it pled down to 69 in a 65. My question is what do I tell my company? What will show up on my record if I apply to a new job when they check it? Does it just show what was pled down to with no indication of the original charge? Should I admit what the original was to my company? Thanks.

    Report the 69/65
Likely won't show up.. but if it does, and you sign NONE on your yearly DMV pull, they could hold that on you.
If it does show up it'll prob be a 1pt vio.

Anything 15 mph or more over the speed limit is reckless driving. That is immediate firing from any trucking company.

Tell them you were written a citation for 87 in a 65, but you were able to get it reduced to 69 in a 65. Then tell them “You’re Welcome” and walk out.

The annual TCV only requires moving violations you were convicted on. You put down 69 in 65 and do not expound on that.

IF they ask, just sy you have one speeding violation, they are going to look at your record and can see for them selves what shows up.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

UPS must have a different policy then. Maybe UPS is self insured.
