40,000 miles is a long time to train especially when you have some experience and besides that what exactly are you learning if you’re running team! I would of walked away as soon as I heard teaming and 40,000 training miles.

    OP, you have some options.

1.When the trainer goes in the truck stop, throw all his stuff in the trash. When he comes back, feign surprise and say “oh no, we’ve been robbed!!! And they only took your trash!!!”

    2. Pre trips are overrated, and it’s only a violation if you get caught.

    3. Tell him you are a follower of the religion of Elogs, and you worship the technology and refuse to log illegally, since people will die.

    4. Make a video of him not wearing his seatbelt and say “I am posting this to Prime’s Facebook Page. Hope to get 100 likes!!!!”

You will have a new trainer in no time.

On the bright side I have given all my flies names of ancient Roman gods. How many flies can say that. I have made champions of all of them, my Pantheon of winged warriors.

    "Its not FINE."

GTFO away from this non-trainer. Anyone who thinks themselves a trainer and instead uses you as a mule to get the critical freight down the road asap... is not a trainer.

I was a trainer and sometimes that means I have a load that goes 150 miles in 4 days appt time for the purpose of drifting truckstop to truckstop training someone how to back in. Tedious. I never shorted my trainee if at all possible.

You are being shorted. And your "That's fine" will get you into so much trouble at some point.

Have you tried talking to your trainer or mentor or whatever Prime calls them? I had a pretty messy trainer until I politely spoke up and even offered to clean things up myself. It was a total 180 after that. We both shared cleaning responsibilities after that and everything was fine. I slept on a used mattress though, inside my sleeping bag. If there's no bedbugs, I would put up with that.

Try actually talking to the dude man to man. Sometimes that's all it takes.

Pulling legs again? Loves doesn’t have showers.
At least he doesn’t spend all day farting and laughing about it
Or lighting farts while you’re driving.
    Get another trainer.

Loves has showers. My trainer said he would pay for my showers whenever I wanted, I just don’t like taking money from people. I can pay for a showe now and then and a few terminals have decent showers, that’s enough for just 6 weeks. I’m fine.

You are not taking money from him. He is more than making that money while teaming, err.. I meant training with you. If it's like other megas, he will also get a few cents every mile you run for a few months after you test out. Let him pay.

I like your post. Not saying that I agree with him asking for a new trainer, but you are correct, if this were a woman, they would be singing a different tune.

I have a different problem. OP says that he has 9months total experience but 6 months was some time ago. Did he have 3 month recent? If you have recent experience of driving WITHOUT a trainer, why did you agree to do 40000 miles with a trainer? That’s 3.5 months minimum. That’s overkill for a brand new student and you are not brand new. Why are you at an entry level company and you are not an entry level driver? 3 months recent experience is STILL experience. If you did have to roll with a trainer, it shouldn’t have been more than 3 weeks max. 2 weeks preferably.

“But Six, what about the garbage?”

Next time it’s your turn to drive and his arse is riding without a seatbelt, hand him a garbage bag and ask him t9 be productive and get his trash off the floor.
