For those who haven't tried them the new generation of composite toe boots are great. No longer do you have the heat sucked out of your feet on cold mornings and I just don't notice them. Or at least the Danner brand is that way for me.

Even if job-sites don't require them they are so comfortable that I figure why not have toe protection.

Personally I know of a late night dash to the weeds where I kicked a huge cobble stone that would have broken a toe in other shoes.
