Definitely have the HUT sticker if you go into ny. The state dot troopers like to sit anywhere they can-toll plazas, tandem yards, exit ramps, rest areas, medians, and if they see you without that sticker, they WILL nail you. Dont ask me how i found that out years ago. Luckily i had a brand new truck, with a temporary ny permit, and he just gave me a clean level 2 and let me go....then went to nail the idiot container hauler that we witnessed trying to back up out of an ez pass lane.
