Most of these housings are through drilled. And the majority of them leak through Improperly sealed bolts or loose bolts. Grease your input and output U-joints if the grease coming out old is silver chances are your U-joints are vibrating too much because of wear. Push up at your Yolks to see if pinions are loose. Nuts may need to be tightened. Check your torque arm bushings for wear. They are just grade 8 bolts and completely reusable. You may need a new washer. Most of the time these leaks are caused by excessive vibration or Hard Knocks.

Drop drive shaft and slide out on some pins. Or balance on floor jack. If i recall 404 the yoke can stay on. Still want some pins to put back togetger. Get some long bolts cut head off. Round off edges. Cut slots in them so when done a big flat head screwdriver will back them out

    lester Thanks this.

Just replace my differs northern is spot on. Long bolts as a guide. Check out put shaft for play. Should be none. If you have a helper he or she can turn out put shaft as you slide diff back together. If you Chang yoke. The lock nut is one time use . Should be good to go in a few hours.

Use a quality thread sealant on the retaining bolts.

So can pull the power divider apart and not pull the yoke and not loose parts are going to fall out at me?!? I've slowed the leak considerably so I may just leave it be for now.
    Thanks for all the input

Yes. And if anything falls out you have bigger problems. Might as well fix it if you have time. The good gearlube isnt cheap. And im guess it may be a good time to drain and fill with new. If you dont know the milage on oil in diff its time to change. And if its empty no better time to reseal. It will be a P.I.T.A. to slide it out on pins and clean between them. Both sides. But i dont know how your set up shop or tool wise. You could slide it out on pins in a driveway. Drain pan and some brake clean, emery cloth. And hand wrenches. But buy oil in a 5 gallon pale and a pump. If you put it in one quart at a time from the bottle like a parts jobbet sells it. YOU WILL BE THERE ALONGWHILE.
