At the Petro in Columbia,S.C. It wasn’t even 4:00 pm yet and the free spots were filling up. Almost half of the lot is paid parking now.![]()

This doesn't fully pertain to reserved parking, but it was mentioned so just to pass along as a heads up...
This is at the TA in Jessup MD. Although it looks as if no one is staffing the exit booth--& apparently someone made a run for it at some point because half the gate arm is missing on the outbound side. Either way, just passing this along.JonJon78 Thanks this. -

Definitely time to start looking for more Mom & Pop truck stops. -
So you pay for reserved AND to exit? Sheesh! Call the cops.
Wasted Thyme, PE_T and mjd4277 Thank this. -
TA and Petro are usually ####-holes anyhow.
PE_T Thanks this. -
Yeah, I know that location, and it (like a lot of TA locations) is independently owned and staffed by arseholes... Some of the dirtiest locations I've stopped in have a big TA sign out front. I try very hard to avoid them, the only exceptions are the ones in the Kenly / Iowa 80 / Oak Grove 70 family. Those are clean and friendly

Any of the above is an oasis for me (most of the time).
I love the paid reserved parking spots. I buy one once or twice a month.
I'm in one right now on I-5.
Easy in and easy out and more importantly easy in and out for however parks next to me.
I'm always looking for the spot with the least chance of someone hitting my truck/trailer in any way.
You'll usually find me in a corner of the back row (the furthest from the store).Last edited: Mar 3, 2020
