Don't worry, it'll catch up to you eventually. Just keep yanking them trailers you know are unfit. Have a nice evening.

They are not required per se, but sometimes you have no choice. The best thing to do is to MANAGE YOUR HOURS. You can go coast to coast and back again and even do a bit more without a 34 ( if you started with one initially) if you manage your hours correctly. Case in point: I left Virginia, headed to Oregon. Picked up in Oregon and headed back to VA, then ran to Minnesota. On E-Logs. Sometimes you won't run when you want but that's the way it is out here. Proper trip planning goes a long way in helping you get the most out of the hours you have available.

My company also has forced dispatch. But I am the driver. At the end of the day, I'm responsible for that equipment, that load, my life and everyone else's that drives around me. It is your job to inspect and make the call if you can legally and safely run that equipment. If you cannot, then you refuse it. If they don't want to hear it, you drive right into that scale and tell them to inspect you. Thatis not a trucker tale. You can do it. I have. If you refuse to do it the wrong way, by all means, find another line of work.

    Great. Dandy. Terrific.

I hope they find you and nail your hide to the wall. Drivers like you that pull equipment like that make me sick.

Why...because I do pre-trips to make sure my equipment is safe? Take your one year of experience and blow it out your ear.
