She lives 3 doors down from us so the truck wasn't near her property. My husband never has his truck on auto start and has only started the truck once very early in the morning to leave when it was unavoidable. She just thinks she lives in a much richer neighborhood where everyone is retired from white collar jobs. I did find out that her complaints have now put my other truck driving neighbors in the same predicament. Now that the issue has been raised everyone must comply.
It may not be an issue anymore .. Hubby just heard talk around the shop that the company is preparing to file chapter 11 bankruptcy. Anyone know what that means for a driver?

Make copies of the email your neighbor sent; then give copies to the other truck drivers families so they know who she is. Also mail a copy to her with your name on the return address so she knows you're not a coward busybody like she is. No notes or anything on the email, just the email.

You need to read the actual ordinance that they are citing to see if you can comply with it or you need to fight it. It you were there before the ordinance was enacted you may be grandfathered in or be able to force the jurisdiction to provide secure free parking.

Sorry but a big truck has no place in that kind of neighborhood/ subdivision. You have to respect other peoples wishes. I park my truck 10 miles away in a designated parking spot and I pay for that privilege. And I live in a nice neighborhood, but there's an ordinance anyway, no access for big trucks over a certain weight. I don't buy that you're being badly treated at all. I guess it's all about attitude and how you feel about pride of ownership of real estate. Some people don't care that they're making the neighborhood look like a slum. But opinions may vary on such issues. But I wouldn't dream about parking my truck on my driveway, so there you go. -
If i want to park a tank on my non HOA property, I should be able to.Gearjammin' Penguin and cowboy_tech Thank this. -
