Welcome to the real world....I have to pay taxes everyday my truck and trailer is parked in the county I pay $200 a month to park my truck and trailers don't matter if I'm there one night or all 31 days. I have two trailers so I don't think I would have both if I started parking a aluminum trailer at the truck stop with no truck for weeks at a time.

That's also why the truck stops are so full drivers can't park at home so they park at the truck stops it pisses me off to pull in a truck stop and see tree trucks and dump trucks blocking half the parking lot!

I realize some of you guys think you are above most of us ... Somehow you always seem to find my posts with your nasty comments ... There's even one in particular that says he's been driving for over 30 years but honestly I doubt that because my hubby certainly doesn't have as much free time to be rude to others as he does and if being rude to others is how he spends his breaks I feel sorry for him ... I guess all you can do is hit "ignore".
My main gripe has been ...this could have all been resolved if she had just womaned up and talked to us. There are several other trucks in our neighborhood, some can be seen from her house, and she hasn't bothered them. The house between us is in foreclosure and it's appearance has definitely declined in the months it's been empty and she hasn't bothered them. If she's really so worried about the neighborhood then I would think she would be anxious to address all of the issues.
We have 2 storage lots near us and they have very few spaces and have been full for a few months. Like I've said the local WalMart only allows 24 hour parking ... Not a solution for a 34 hour reset. We didn't just park in our neighborhood because we were too lazy to find another spot.

I don't have a problem with a person parking anything on their property they want .
I do have a problem with some idiot having their truck start at 3 am and run at 1900 rpm screaming and waking the whole world up .

It is one thing to fire it up and IDLE it long enough to build air and then slowly drive it out of the neighborhood .
It is a totally different thing to have it started and wound up at all hours of the day and night .

There is no reason in the world to have the auto start on in a neighborhood at all .
Plug it in or park it else where if it needs to run.

Wal-Mart is not there to give you a place to leave your truck when you are at home in my book either .
The truck is your responsibility not Wal-Mart or the truck stop .

I can't get over how many drivers think that they can just park where ever they feel like and everyone should be happy to see them.

i doubt you'd have had a problem in the first place if your bf didn't set the auto start...

He's my husband not my bf and you must have missed my post about his truck NOT being on auto start or leaving in the early morning or late at night.

2 options: burn down the neighbor's house (preferably with her in it) or move to the country and eat lots of peaches!

I moved to a different county long ago and never looked back. I could park a 747 in my front yard, shoot cannons in the back or run an air raid siren and no one would say anything.

Take a good look at the tree trucks some time. You might find that they are in the area where they are doing work and have absolutely no where else to park. They cannot always get them into the motel where they stay.

However, I do know that there are some that are using it as their terminal as well.

No, because I know how to mind my own bloody business. If I don't like it, I don't have to look at it. This is a concept that used to be called 'common sense.'

    Actually...hang on.

Yep, I just looked out my back door, and my neighbor has 10 vehicles on his property. Granted, most of them aren't inoperable, but even if they were, why should I care?

Best post in this thread. People need to put their big boy/girl panties on and learn how not to be offended by every little thing. It's called "live and let live" people.

Not siding with anyone on this, but I wonder... if I needed to park my truck in my neighborhood the first thing I would do is check local laws. Next if it was legal to park I would go to all the neighbors around my house and introduce myself and politely ask if they would mind my parking from time to time. Usually if you act neighborly and ask politely if its ok most civil people would not object. If not everyone agreed I would consider alternatives. You cant please everyone. BTW...it is extremely rude to call the cops or take legal action before you talk to the driver in a civil way first. We are all supposed to live as a civilized society and that means talking and trying to work out issues first without involving authorities. If a peaceful resolution cant be reached between two parties, then call the law.
