Best advice for the op is this : unless it directly impacts on your ability to do your job then just leave it alone and carry on with your own business.
you won't win any arguments on here , this will just go round and round until the thread gets shut down eventually because of the bickering and insults.
It's probably best for you to just drop it and find something else more constructive to debate in the future.

Kw9, this is the internet. Everyone is always right and winning an argument is like getting a perfect, hands-free, on time, high paying, easy load all in one.

Arguing is about as futile as telling a police officer to hurry or a shipper to do it right and hurry.

Why do I still go at it? Hell if I know. Guess I'm not too smart! :sign5: :tard:

I do have a new way to define things as a result of this all though. Unless it directly impacts my ability to do my job properly, or safely or impacts the safety of others directly... Treat it like a dog #### on it.

Name callers usually believes you do not have the right to your opinion, they surely have no respect for your opinion. If they did they would not go to name calling.

Some common sense would go a long way here.....in your description no one was either held-up or blocked in , I fail to see why a question was even asked here....you could get in get out without any problems. BUT , I know also a question never asked is usually the only really silly question , keep asking them , that's the way you learn.....

I asked and was concerned because they weren't in the safest of places. One guy not watching and they'd have been rear ended because of how and where they'd parked.

Common sense does go a long way, but my common sense had two sides to this one.

I knew it'd be considered a silly question and would get people riled up, but yeah. I'd rather ask and know. We all know what assuming does...

Keep on asking....never hurts a thing. If someone sees it as silly , it's usually sour grapes as far as I'm concerned , mainly because they were too scared to ask it themselves. You'll see stuff like this on a regular basis....sometimes when it's evident the infraction could be a bad problem ( as in the case of witnessing a driver drinking a beer with his lunch at a restaurant or even a rest area , then fire-up and head back on the road ) well that is when you drop a dime...parking infractions like the one you described need to just be ignored since you or no one else was affected...just an Old Farts take.....

Hey, long as you don't have that "old fart" smell.. Some of the best advice I've gotten has been from old farts. I haven't yet come across a piece I can't use.

Without a doubt, I was not there to witness his mood and tirade. But we all know how tired we get, from being up all hours. It would not surprise me the guy was in a deep sleep. Your waking him up was to warn him of a possible certain danger to his truck, and for that you should be commended, but sadly, that time you DID win when his truck shut down. Sitting back and watching the fun, was a joy I WISHED I could have seen.!

Mike, Jane, Richard, Joe, Danny, Vito, Maebel, Ginger, Roger. That's it, I'm done name calling!

Sometimes, old farts have good advice, it's whether or not the young-in's actually want to hear it.

There's an old saying that comes to mind, something akin to only a fool makes the same mistakes is elders did; but a wise man learns from them. I paraphrased is I don't remember the exact words that's close.

Probably the ones who always park in that manner, perhaps even if there's parking spots available are the ones getting riled up towards your questions.

    I'm in agreement with Tonythetruckerdude!
