    It wasn't 10 hours a day, it was 10 in 18 hours, so you could,forgetting about all those things you have to log on-duty, drive 16 hours on some days, 14 hours on others and 12 on the rest.

    The person who introduced this bill is not doing it to help out Truckers, he is doing it to help out Trucking Companies.
    Trucking company to Politician, " Hey we are getting beat up on detention pay, can you help us out"?
    Politician" Well its going to cost you a little where is my campaign donation"?
    Trucking Company "Here it is."
    Politician " Ok I will present it in away that a a lot of your uneducated employees will jump on board and think its a good thing"
    Trucking Company "I would expect nothing less"

    True. But this is like your ex-girlfriend who was a total b#@$h, but was good in bed. Years later, you only remember the good times. Well I still remember spending 6 hours in Corning, CA out of hours in the middle of the day. Only 3 days earlier, my break had been at night, now it had moved 12 hours. 6 hours in the day, wide awake because it was an 18 hour day instead of a 24 hour day.

    I would like to fix the hos, but going back to that is not a step forward. Combining stopping the clock and basing it on a 24 hour day is the fix I would like to see.

    100% false! Where have you been regarding Congress taking up the issue of ELDs? Brian Babin is the one who had been trying to stall the implementation of them and insisting that FMCSA get them ready for primetime. He's been working with small business truckers, not with the ATA.
