The only shower that was really bad so far was the Road Ranger Pilot in Illinois. I forget where exactly, but it is next to a Mcdonalds and has a very small parking lot. The showers are located downstairs in the dungeon, and it even smelled bad from just being old.

It irks me and amazes me the number of people who do NOT do that one simple thing to stay healthy and prevent the spread of disease. -

The community rest room at any place can ba a little...... hard to handle, in the morning. Sometimes if I have extra shower credits, I'll use one up just to hava a clean place for my morning constitutional. Then no need to listen to, or smell, what everyone else ate last night.
HDFatboy, wolfy7203 and tomahawk204 Thank this. -
I have never got anything (sick wise) from any showers. I stick to the main chain (T/A or Petro for example).
But one time last summer I was loading in CO and filthy from all the dust/sand and crap that comes with the territory. I found (via my GPS) a truck stop called "The Diamond Shamrock". I figured how bad could it be?
Well...the toilet wasnt bolted to the floor, or someone stole the nutz on the thing.
The shower stall was beyond rusty, including the shower head.
I had a paper bath mat to stand on and 1 thin towel.
(and the Gorilla spooge dispenser on the shower wall)
Best part? - The kitchen appeared to be using 5 day old grease in the fryers and the AC system picked it up and dumped it into the showers.
So I got out and even after a shower, I stunk like 5 day old fryer grease. -
