Houston, TX there is no state income taxes.

We offer refresher courses to students around the country who have a CDL-A but no recent experience.

 

In Texas, after a license has been expired over two years, you start from scratch.

 

I'm in Texas. I let mine go and after over 10 yrs, I joined a company that put me through their training at 64 yrs old. I've been with them for 3 yrs now. If you can pass the dot physical, I can work

 

I *retired* +20 years ago. It cost me less then $20 a decade to keep. I think it’s now $30 a decade. Why let it lapse? I had a few occasions it was useful. Just needed current health card GTG.

Good point, but everyone is different. When I retired in '22 I said I'm never getting back in a truck. Went to the DMV said take this and give me a regular driver's license. Haven't missed the truck or the cdl one bit. Don't know if it was dropping the cdl or commute, but my car insurance went down.
