    Not to say you will ever buy a recap but Goodyear, Michelin as well as Bangag all currently produce certain recaps with low rolling resistance and to my knowledge are identical to their virgin tires.

    here in OZ a retread/cap costs around $250 to $260 fitted, a brand new regroovable china tyre is $300 fitted, I buy new china tyres for the truck and then regroove them and use them on my trailer. works out to be the cheapest option for me. p.s i used to use retreads but at the prices they r now charging its not the cheaper option anymore.
