Mine is set at 71 but according to gps goes 73.. (it's the new tires)..

I putt along at 59-62 mph..I try to find a Prime truck and stay behind him lol.. If I get above 65 it seems like I'm flying, then I'm constantly having to change lanes, battle 4 wheelers. . Stresses me out. .I like to go slow.

I woke up this morning at the yard. . Delivered down off of Front street and went back to the yard. . Walked inside to get a cup of coffee and to thank the tech that saved me from a break down call in Indiana. . Thanks again Dan.

While walking into the break room I ran into a driver that had been contemplating quitting a few weeks ago. . If you've read this far you will remember me mentioning him. .. He said that he had quit. . Gone to Crete and decided ACT wasn't that bad after all. . He was there to re assume his lease and climb back in his truck.

Walked out to the truck after bs ing about 30 minutes and found a 3 load offer. .I chose a 980 mile load going from McPherson KS to eastern Ohio. .I usually try to avoid Ohio but it's a light load and good miles with a drop hook on both ends. .

Then I get a message that the load is being brought to the yard by another driver and will arrive at approximately 1530..ugh!! I sent a message back (with a smiley face) "Your killing me" I would have chose a quick 400 mile run if I had known.

I thought the world was ending. . Qual comm blew up and phone was ringing within 15 seconds! I explained over and over that I was not mad or upset. . Smiley face! Didn't you see the smiley face? Ugh! They were just concerned and wanted me to know they were not trying to kill me. .lol

I guess I need to remember that when I type or text, words on the other end may not sound exactly like they do when the lil voice says them in my head.

So, I changed my load choice. .I took a load going from St Jo to southwest Nebraska that delivers 0700-1500 tomorrow. .I also received a 2 load offering while enroute..

I chose a 700 mile load + dead head from McPherson ks to Avon IN.. drop/hook in McPherson tomorrow. . Deliver Thursday morning/open delivery.

So at least part of my week is planned out.

I had an enjoyable weekend. .I bought a house boat and spent the weekend on it.. My brother has one also and is in a slip next to me. . Should make for some enjoyable times once the weather cooperates. :)

I forgot to post my miles for the week. .2, 650 ..
    Stay safe. . Stay warm

Well nobody posted that this company was or is such a stickler about how many jobs you've had...smh....this industry is so corrupt with so many mistreating drivers, lying to them and all kinda things till a SMART driver usually won't put up with it. ..so u leave a find work elsewere until u get it rite....so its looking like they won't even consider me because of this reason. ..smh....in talking 10years no accidents ever....psp score is low..I think a three...no criminal record ever...I have all endorsements on license. ...now u tell me... No speeding tickets EVER!!!....smh....but its for the best. ..Roadrunner appv me 2 months ago n I just didn't take the job....time to reconsider their freight is strong and they are a very strong company that understands the importance of very good drivers and knows one when they see it!!!

I don't have an answer for ya.. ACT is not unlike most companies and wants/requires a stable work history. .

I don't have any idea what the disqualifying factors are. . Did you actually talk with Marsha? Or was it another recruiter? If there is a way. . Marsha will find it.

    Good luck driver

I delivered in Benkelmen Nebraska and headed to McPherson KS.. Did a quick drop and hook then headed north. .

I'm at the ACT yard. . Rolled in with about 15 minutes left on the clock. .I have a 2 drop load in Indiana Thursday morning. . Hopefully nothing but cold to deal with. . I'm tired of snow and ice!

I guess the highlight of my day was watching my MPG go up and up. . It was up to 9 but the cross wind coming up I35 dropped it to 8.1mpg..

    Be safe.

I left the ACT yard this morning and headed east. . It was a nice ride, little bit of a tail wind and sunshine. .

I'm at my first drop outside of Indy. . I'll deliver here and then head to my final delivery. .I don't have a pre plan yet so I have no idea where I'm going next.

My fuel mileage dropped coming across I70 out of KC.. rolling hills got it down to 7.8mpg.. once I got past Kingdom City and it flattened out the mileage got better. .I shut the key off reading 8.0

    Be safe

I did my 2 drops around Indy and was empty by 0930.. pulled out of the dock, shut my doors and received a load plan. .

Drop hook in Cincinnati and deliver in west Memphis tomorrow. .I just did this run a couple of weeks ago, it's heavy but the route allows you to maintain your fuel mileage. .I also know it's a drop hook at receiver and I can deliver early. :)

I'm sitting at the Pilot in Hurricane Mills. .Arbys has a new sandwich? BBQ brisket. . Surprisingly it wasn't too bad.

Keep your fingers crossed for a load back to KC area for the weekend. .I have a high school sweet heart that is flying into KC from Denver for the weekend. . Would be nice to see her. .

After tomorrow's delivery I'll have approximately 2, 100 miles with the weekend to run. .Seems my fuel economy has increased dramatically with the warmer days and I stopped adding power service anti-gel to the tanks. .

    Anyway, stay safe.

I showed up early for delivery and wouldn't ya know. . The best thought out plans never come to fruition. .

As I was sending my arrived call another ACT driver pulled in next to me. . Just so happened we had ran into each other before. . After some bs ing we made it to the window. . The empty I was supposed to pick up had been loaded that morning for the other driver, and I wasnt going to get unloaded until 1400.. Oh well.

They signed my paperwork and gave me a door. .then the other ACT driver pulled across from me and dollied down. .DUH! I left my trailer and took his empty. .

While swapping trailers I received a pre plan. . Load tomorrow d/h in Memphis.. d/h Plainfield IN next day. .500 miles and 10, 000lbs..

Then I load in Defiance OH d/h heading to beautiful warm south Georgia. .150 empty miles and 720 loaded. .12, 000lbs. For Tuesday morning.

Light loads, easy miles, good mpg= money in my pocket!

    It's gonna be a good weekend. :)

Btw I'm at the loves truck stop in w Memphis. . And there is no power at the Petro, flying hook or the loves. . Nor any surrounding businesses. . The police/drug dealers aren't even advertising on the cb. (Guess there recording went out with the power)

An oversize carrying a wind mill blade hit a power pole at the petro.. field caught on fire. . What a mess. Glad I'm not that driver. . Gonna be a butt chewing! On the other hand, Pilot is doing record business! It's on the other side of the interstate.
