Thanks cuzzin it.
Loves huh? Geez that's as bad as Pilots, usually a pain to find parking and a wait for showers. -
Back to the grind..ugh.. I've been off 5 days and I feel like I need a break

left the house this morning at 0500.. Had to turn around and go back. .I forgot the keys to the truck. . Get to the yard, throw my stuff in the truck and look for an empty trailer. . Find one only to be told. .That trailer is attached to such and such truck that's in the shop. .
ok, whatever. . Do you show any empty available trailers on the yard? 1587..look.. Only to find that trailer is no where on the yard.
So I see a local truck pull in dragging an empty.. Hook to it and here I sit. BTW.. The trailer I originally found just left the (not attached to the truck I was told it was assigned to) 5 minutes after I was told that empty was unavailable.
This is a very frustrating profession sometimes.HomeTownHauler Thanks this. -

RoadCall Thanks this. -
Hey Roadcall,
I've been on home time and haven't been online much. I'll be back in the truck tomorrow morning. This summer we've been using Loves a lot. This past winter I was using flying j and pilots all the time.RoadCall Thanks this. -
Holy crap it's been 2 days and no one has posted? . What's wrong with y'all? I'm camping out for the night in Murfreesboro Tn. On my way up to Munster In. Hopefully y'all haven't fallen off of the face of the earth.
Roadcall -- when are you coming over to ACT? I don't think that you'll find a better company out there. -
Here's an open-ended question. What makes ACT so good? Yes, I have read the posts and forums; I just love getting input from those who are happy somewhere.

Denali,
some of the things that i like about this company would be the insurance, there was 2 different plans to choose from. I chose the higher priced one of the 2. I think it's about $140** a week. That includes disability, eye, life,.
The pay is another, something like 40 cpm to start. More with your hazmat. As a company driver I can still refuse loads. All in all I believe that this company actually cares about it's drivers.. I wish I found it earlier in my career.
any thing else ya need let me or Jaguar115 know. -
Hey Stormy, looking like the 29th for me. I am still waiting on one other option to get my verifications back before I make my final decision. ACT is def among the top picks for me.
The older I get the worse my memory serves me, lol, how many miles did you say you average on the company side? I know you said you were low on hours before so I guess you can get 3k or so? Do they give you options on your preplans or do they assign it and if you don't want it they send something else?
Whats the 8000 lease? I called and emailed Marsha this week looking for info but haven't had any luck.Last edited: Sep 7, 2014
