I use to drive long haul about 15 years ago & then got out of it due to family issues. Now, 15 years later, I've returned to school to re-obtain my CDLs in hopes to be able to find either, a dedicated, local, or even a posibility of a regional run, here in NC.
I am familiar with both dry van & refer, but am looking into the posibility of giving flatbed a try. The areas I am looking to operate in are from my previous days of driving:
From NC, south to Miami, over to Naples, to New Orleans, up to Memphis over & back to NC. I would haul to virtually anywhere within those areas in which I enjoyed very much. I don't know a thing about driving in Snow or Ice in a personal vehicle, much less in a big rig, so keeping me from in those area would be a good thing.
I am proud to say that while I was driving way back when, I never had a ticket or accident, nor had any major infractions since, (with the exception of a couple of 65mph in a 55 several years ago, in my car)
I am looking to try & be home most week ends as the Mrs is new here to the US from China, and her abilities to drive herself to where she needs to go is extreamly limited much less her english.
I'm a hard & honest worker and if it's within my abilities, I'll surely do my best. One thing I will not stand for is for someone out right lying to me. I prefer one to be straight forward & telling like it is, (just as I am with my very own personality) while not asking me to do or try to do something that is illegal, or not on the up & up.
I'm not nor do I own the bank & therefore I am unable and unwilling to to offer cash advance to any company, for any reason, in order to pay for tolls, repairs, etc. (I should not & nor will not pay any company, in order to work for them); These are your (the company's responsibilities), not the driver's. So please, don't ask nor expect me to pick up your tab, as it just won't happen, Plain and simple. How ever, if you are truely looking for an honest & hard working individual, willing to do what needs to be done in order to satisfy the customer, shoot me a PM or include your email / telephone here.
If you feel that I am definately not a match for your firm, please state it so here, so as I will not waste neither my time nor yours attempting to fill out your company's application.
Should someone know a a company that might be a perfect fit, please feel free to let me know.
Thanks

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
