Here’s my story. Drove over the road for twelve verifiable years, but many years ago. Have class B with P endorsement. Have been driving city buses since August of last year. Have upgraded my written tests to include doubles, tanker, Hasmat. Took all the CDL training classes and road tests for the class B.

What I need is a road test for my class A. Have had a couple of companies offer but require running OTR for them. I’m only interested in local or short line work.

My experience has been auto transport for five years, refer for about five years, and dry van (doubles) for two years. Last job was refer with a dedicated run from Gilroy CA, to Boston, MA. That was with North Wind trucking. I was also the driver trainer for them then moved into dispatch, hated it so returned to driving as driver trainer.

Family had a truck and heavy equipment shop so I left trucking and worked for many years as a technician for them. Left family business and worked for various companies as the technician.

I retired a few years ago and hate it, need to stay busy but just can’t do OTR any longer. I’m fed up with the bus business, it’s easy but dealing with some of the people is a nightmare, especially in the bad neighborhoods.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
