    Is there anything i should know that might help with these. I just purchased a 730 and after seeing all the reviews im getting a little nervous it might leave me stranded. I havnt had any issues but i just got it today. I put a class 4 16gb sd card in and updated and downloaded the new maps any other suggestions.

    Yes,,, take the SD Card out. the 730 does not need the SD Card since it has enough internal memory for the maps.

    Don't know what reviews you have been looking at.

    I purchased my unit with Rewards points.

    Issues: Would not charge. Required multiple resets. GPS placed me at last known location for two days. Wouldn't reroute when in motion when turn was missed.

    It was just past a month when it first started acting crazy! I couldn't take it back to Love's so I called technical support. They wanted to send me a new charger, but I insisted they receive the unit and inspect the port. It looked and felt loose.

    They sent me a UPS return prepaid label before the phone call ended.

    I printed the return label at the mailboxes place and shipped it off for repair. They replaced the charging port. I was right.

    Total repair time from complaint to receiving repaired unit was 3 weeks. My rebate check was received.. $100.

    I have had it back for two months and we have to reset the unit three times already. Otherwise, it very easy to use.

    The 730 has a solid USB port. Try taking your DC cord and wrapping around the suction cup bracket.

    Are you using an SD Card in the external slot?

    Yes I am using an SD card because when it was received... A message popped saying it was missing so I took one out of a device and it stayed working...

    Not sure about the port.. but paper says it was replaced and now it works. Charges great...

    Thanks for the tips!

    This is a 730??? if so, take the SD Card out, it does not need it. If you get a pop up message I would like to know what it says.

    My 730 said the exact same thing when I started mine up about a year ago when I bought it from the ta in wapakoneta Ohio

    730's have 8 gb of internal memory. I am wondering if you are seeing the last process of when they flashed it. They use an SD Card and they are supposed to reboot it after the install. If they don't it may ask for the SD Card..

    Take the SD Card out and let me know what it does. Also look at the SD Card on a computer and tell me what files/folders are on it.
